| Abstrakt: | The synthesis of the pentapeptide H-Arg-Tyr-Leu-Pro-Thr-OH by the mixed anhydride procedure and by the pentafluorophenyl ester method is described. This synthetic peptide is identical to proctolin, a myotropic substance isolated from the cockroach, Periplaneta Americana(L.). |
