Abstrakt: Charge transfer (CT) interactions between aromatic hydrocarbons, namely, benzene, biphenyl, phenanthrene, naphthalene, and anthracene, and herbicides of the triazine series, viz. Atraton, Trietazine, and Simetone, have been investigated by conductometric methods. The stoichiometries of the complexes have been established and the molar conductivities of the CT complexes determined. The effect of the nature of the electron donors, electron acceptors, and the solvent media on the conductivity of the CT complexes has been studied. Keywords: conductivity, charge transfer interactions, hydrocarbons, herbicides.
