Condensation of 3cyano7diethylaminoNethoxycarbonyliminocoumarin with various hydrazides as Nnucleophiles gave a new series of 2oxo2H1benzopyrano2,3dpyrimidines bearing an acylhydrazino fragment in the 4position. The structures of the products obtained were characterized using IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR and elemental analysis. The optical properties were reported for three of these compounds. J.
