Abstrakt: This paper reports a method employing diphasic dialysis extraction for the rapid confirmation of clenbuterol in cow liver by RPHPLC with diode-array detection. The most suitable means of homogenizing the liver is in barium hydroxide-barium chloride buffer; the optimum extraction solvent istert-butyl methyl ether at an extraction temperature of 37°C; stirring should be applied at 150 r.p.m. for 4h. This extraction method improves clenbuterol recovery values to 98.9%.
