Synthesis and structural characterization of the first completely alkyl-substituted Ga–Sb Lewis acid–base adducts †

Abstrakt: The simple Lewis acid–base adducts (n-Bu)3Ga(SbR3) (R = Et 1, n-Pr 2, i-Pr 3, t-Bu 4) and (t-Bu)3Ga(SbR3) (R = Et 5, n-Pr 6, i-Pr 7, t-Bu 8) were prepared by combination of n-Bu3Ga or t-Bu3Ga, respectively, with the corresponding trialkylstibanes in a 1∶1 molar ratio. 1–8 were fully characterized by multinuclear NMR (1H and 13C) and mass spectroscopy. In addition, the solid state structures of 5 and 7 were determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction studies.
