A generalized mathematical model of isothermal adsorption that takes into account mass transfer on the surface of a particle, diffusion in micro-and macropores, and dispersion along the length of the apparatus is considered. The parameters ? and ?2 determine the dominating effect of any of the mass transfer mechanisms of the adsorption process. A numerical algorithm for solving the generalized adsorption model is suggested. |
