Summary Tow assay systems for serum fibrinogen/fibrin degradation products were compared for reactivity with purified fibrinogen degradation products. The staphylococcal clumping test is a more sensitive method than the latex agglutination test. The staphylococcal clumping test is sensitive for the plasmin lysis products X, Y, D, the latex agglutination shows the same reactivity with the products X, Y, D and E. |
