Abstrakt: Conclusions As a result of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant accident, there was a significant increase in the contamination level of the environment by a series of radionuclides, and specifically iodine isotopes. The iodine isotope content of the atmosphere was lower than the permissible level, and quickly diminished with time.
