Investigation of the effect of microgravity on convection and mass transfer during crystal growth from aqueous solution

Abstrakt: The modeling process is described and the results obtained on earth and in microgravity are compared. The effect of reduced gravity on the uniformity of the layer adjacent to the growing crystal is investigated. It is shown how, by using the results of modeling in microgravity, the parameters characteristic of optimal solution hydromechanics under terrestrial conditions can be estimated.
