Model of particle deposition from turbulent gas-solid flow in channels with absorbent walls

Abstrakt: A nonlocal model of particle deposition is developed without resorting to empirical information on the fluctuating motion of the particles. The effects of particle inertia are described by a system of differential equations for the moments of the dispersed phase velocity. The model is tested on examples of flows in channels with smooth walls and with “grassy” roughness.
