Abstrakt: 1.The magnitude and direction of the effect of the size factor upon corrosion-fatigue strength is determined by the relationship between a number of other factors, which may either increase or reduce the strength of the specimen surface layers.2.The presence of a corrosive medium does not affect the nature of the relationship between the specimen length and the fatigue limit.3.In the absence of technological effects (residual strains and stresses), it is advisable to carry out corrosion-fatigue tests on specimens withl/d > 4; this tends to reduce to a minimum the effect of the size factor.
