A description is given of equipment which makes it possible to obtain spectrographically pure inert gases, and in which liquid lithium is used as the getter in the last purification stages. A design is proposed of an apparatus for the continuous closed-circuit purification of inert gases which is necessary if the partial pressures of active gases in working chambers with inert atmospheres is to be maintained at low levels for a long time. |
