Knowing the temperature-time dependence of internal friction, the finely dispersed condition of VT1-0 commercial titanium can be fixed by quenching from the temperature of the a ?ß transformation and the yield limit of the cold-worked material can be greatly reduced. It is evident that the reduction of the residual relative reduction of the area of the cross section in the neck (?) is associated with an increase of the uniformity of deformation. It is useful to carry out further detailed examination of the suitability of the method of heating titanium in the salt melt for processing purposes. |
