Abstrakt: Stable spiro compounds containing a dihydroisoxazole ring are formed by the reaction of ω-carbonyl-substituted 2-methyleneindolines with hydroxylamine. These compounds are converted in acid media into isoxazoles with scission of the indoline unit.
