Synthesis of 4,4′-bis(4-aminophenoxy)benzophenone and polyimides based on this compound

Abstrakt:	Synthesis of 4,4'-bis(4-aminophenoxy)benzophenone was performed starting from chloral. Various polyimides were obtained by reactions of 4,4 '-bis(4-aminophenoxy)benzophenone with aromatic tetracarboxylic acid dianhydrides. Some of the polyimides obtained are crystalline compounds.
