Abstrakt: A new preparative method for the synthesis of 3(5)-amino-4-nitropyrazole starting from accessible 3(5)-methylpyrazole has been elaborated. Nitration of the former affords 3(5)-nitramino-4-nitropyrazole or 1, 4-dinitro-3-aminopyrazole, depending on the reaction conditions.
