Simple31P NMR method for the determination of the enantiomeric purity of chiral O-alkylalkylthiophosphonic acids

Abstrakt: The31P-(1H) NMR spectra of bis(alkylalkoxythiophosphoryloxy)phosphonites may be utilized to determine the enantiomeric purity (p) of O-alkylalkylthiophosphonic acids with the application of the Oro equation, p= v(Q - Q')/(Q + Q'), where Q is the integral intensity of the d, l-form, and Q' is the integral intensity of the meso forms.
