Abstrakt: 1.It was found that polyhydroxynaphthoquinones participate in side reactions of consumption of the inhibitor. The applicability of the method of calculating the rate constants based on consumption of the inhibitor was demonstrated for polyphenols which enter into side reactions of consumption (with ROOH, O2) and the products of their transformation retain the capacity to react with RO2·. The conditions of the applicability of the method were determined.2.The values of the rate constants of the reaction with RO2· were established for four natural polyhydroxynaphthoquinones, and the activation energies and preexponential factors were calculated. The most promising antioxidants of this class were revealed.
