1.By the1H NMR and19F methods we have shown that in an acid medium there is practically complete decomposition of the condensation product of triethanolamine and formaldehyde to a compound of a salt type containing the OCH2NCH2CH2O fragment.2.The direction of nitration of the monoethanolamine-formaldehyde condensation products on subsequent addition of HNO3 and (CH3CO)2O is determined by the ratio of the monoethanolamine to the formaldehyde in the reaction mixture. |
