Abstrakt: 1.The hydrogenation of benzene by high-pressure H2 on 5% Re/?-Al2O3 and Re/SiO2 catalysts which have been reduced by the reaction mixture is zeroth order with respect to the benzene.2.The kinetics of the hydrogenation of benzene on the 5% Re/?-Al2O3 catalyst is not affected by the type of Re7+ compound used for preparing the catalyst. The reaction order with respect to H2 is approximately 2, and the apparent activation energy 10–11 kcal/mole.3.Passage from Re7+ to Re(0) is apparently a necessary condition for the activation of supported Re catalysts. The supported Re7+ can be effectively reduced by the C6H6-H2 mixture at 200°C.
