Conclusions 1.Using calorimetric titration the authors have established formation of the complex compound (NBu4)2{3[Al(BH3)3 · NH3]2BH4}. when benzene solutions of tetrabutylammonium borohydride and aluminum borohydride monoammoniate are reacted. They have determined the enthalpy of complexing in benzene.2.The reactions of tetramethylammonium chloride and borohydride with aluminum borohydride monoammoniate in benzene lead to formation of the compounds (NMe4)2{3[Al(BH4)3 · NH3]2BH4} and (NMe4)2{3[Al(BH4)3 · NH3]2Cl}, which are stable when heated to 90°C.3.From the results of an IR spectroscopic investigation it is inferred that these complexes do not contain BH4- ions. |
