Abstrakt: 1.The chromoalumina systems can be separated into two groups on the basis of the type of CrO3 decomposition. Most of the oxygen separates out from boehmite and bayerite catalysts in a single step. Oxygen evolution is a two-step process in the case of catalysts based on hydrargillite and ?-Al2O3.2.A peak at ~180°C, observed in the catalysts of the second group, has been assigned to fusion of a CrO3 phase.3.Irradiation reduces the effect of the carrier in protecting the supported CrO3 against thermal breakdown.
