Conclusions 1.Protonation centers for alkyl-and arlhydrazones have been established from a study of UV spectra and comparison of calculated values of the energies of the protonated complexes.2.Inversion of the protonation center occurs in the alkylhydrazones, but all of the phenylhydrazones protonate at the imine-nitrogen atom. |
