1.Compounds with complex anions AlH4-n(BH4)n-, where n = 1, 2, 3, were produced by the reaction of tetrabutylammonium aluminum hydride with a measured amount of diborane; their melting points were determined, and their IR spectra taken.2.The decomposition of Bu4NAlH4-n(BH4)n in THF and diethyl ether medium was studied. The rate of decomposition of the complexes in THF solution increases with increasing number of coordinated BH4 groups. |
