A change in the color of the K salt of 1,1-dinitroethane when it is irradiated is caused by the formation of the colored K salt of ethylnitrolic acid as one of the photolysis products, and this refutes the viewpoint postulated in the literature that chromoisomerism exists in 1,1-dinitroethane salts. |
