1.The conversions of Bu4NAl(BH4)3Br, occurring in tetrahydrofuran solution at room temperature under the influence of donor molecules of the solvent, were investigated. The final products of the conversions are Bu4NB2H7, Bu4NAlBr4, and butoxy derivatives of aluminum borohydride, BuOAl(BH4)2-xBrx, x = 1, 2.2.A successive formation of intermediate products Bu4NAl(BH4)4, Bu4NAl(BH4)2Br2, and Bu4NAl(BH4)Br3 in solution was established by the NMR-27A1 method. The formation of Bu4NB2H7 occurs as a result of the interaction of the intermediate Bu4NAl(BH4)4 with the solvent. A. scheme of conversions satisfactorily explaining the observed conversions was proposed. |
