Abstrakt: 1.Triphenyllead isocyanate (I) was obtained for the first time in 72% yield, and a study was made of its thermal decomposition at 180–200°.2.Triphenyllead isocyanate exerts a stabilizing effect on poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC) during the thermal decomposition of the polymer.3.The stabilizing activity of (I) and (C6H5)4Pb is due to the efficient acceptance of HCl, and in the case of (I) also to its reaction with the conjugated double bonds of the PVC macromolecule.4.(C6H5)3PbNCO, (C6H5)3PbCl, and (C6H5)4Pb form mixtures with organic phosphites that have a synergistic effect on the dehydrochlorination rate, the crosslinking, and the change in the color of PVC.
