1.We studied the thermal isomerization ofa-nitrocinnamic ester, and also its isomerization by treatment with certain polar solvents with a basic character. The composition of the obtained equilibrium mixture of geometric isomers is independent of the method of isomerization.2.The reaction for the nucleophilic addition of methyl alcohol to the Z-isomer ofa-nitrocinnamic ester is accompanied by its isomerization to the E-isomer. |
