Enthalpies of formation of dinitrophenylmethane, trinitrophenylethane, and fluorodinitrophenylamine

Abstrakt: 1.An experimental determination was made of the heats of combustion (-853.4±1.4; -987.1±0.9; -815.2±0.4 kcal/mole) and sublimation (18.2±0.2; 20.1±0.1; 12.6±0.2 kcal/mole) of dinitrophenyl-methane, trinitrophenylethane, and fluorodinitrophenylmethane, respectively.2.The enthalpies of formation of these compounds in the gas phase (8.3±1.6; 15.7±1.0 and -44.2 ±0.6 kcal/mole) were calculated.3.The energies of the C-C bond between the phenyl (and also benzyl) radical and the polynitromethyl radical D[Ph-CH(NO2)2]=100.2±5.1, D[PhCH2-C(NO2)3]=79.1±3.5, D[Ph-CF(NO2)2]=105.1+5.4 kcal /mole were calculated.
