The role of the hydrogen bond in the reaction of peroxide radicals with inhibitors

Abstrakt: 1.A mechanism was proposed for the reaction of peroxide radicals with inhibitors, including preliminary formation of a complex between them through a hydrogen bond.2.The consequences following from this mechanism are in good agreement with the kinetic results on the inhibited oxidation of 1,3-cyclohexadiene with certain phenols and aromatic amines.3.The rate constants of the interaction of peroxide radicals with inhibitors and with the complex RO2.?. HIn were calculated for seven inhibitors.
