1.Cyclohexene was hydrocarbomethoxylated by means of formic acid in the presence of orthophosphoric acid at atmospheric pressure with subsequent addition of methanol.2.An increase in the concentration and amount of orthophosphoric and formic acids and an increase in the temperature of the first stage results in intensification of the selectivity of the reaction to favor the formation of esters.3.The methyl esters of cyclohexanecarboxylic acid and 1-methylcyclopentanecarboxylic acid are obtained in yields up to 95% from cyclohexene. |
