1.Ferrocene reacts with acetone and acetylacetone in the presence of BF3 or HCl to yield 2,2-diferrocenylpropane. The structure of the product was confirmed by mass spectrometry.2.Benzaldehyde and formaldehyde react with ferrocene under conditions described above to yield also normal condensation products involving the carbonyl group: phenylferrocenylcarbinol and diferrocenylmethane, respectively. |
