Abstrakt:	Dimethyl sulfoxide readily decomposes p-allylirontricarbonylhalides with the evolution of 1,5-hexadiene and carbon monoxide and formation of sulfoxide complexes of composition [(CH3)2SO]5FeX2. In the complexes isolated coordination is through the oxygen of the sulfoxide group.
