Abstrakt: Maleate causes an enhanced excretion of amino acids, glucose, phosphate and bicarbonate. In addition to this inhibition of fluid and electrolyte reabsorption malate decreases glomerular filtration rate (GFR). The present investigation was designed to study the mechanisms of this fall in GFR.
