F-aggregate centers in LiF-Li2O crystals

Abstrakt: A study was made of the effect of lithium oxide impurity on the properties and efficiency of radiation-induced formation of F-aggregate centers in lithium fluoride crystals. It was established that oxygen ions alter the luminescence characteristics and enhance the thermal stability of F2+ and F3+ centers. The variation of the ratio between F2, F2+, and f3+ centers is associated with changes in the degree of aggregation of O2-- Va+ dipoles.
