An apparatus has been developed for combined measurement of several kinetic coefficients of solid and liquid semiconductors subjected to a high pressure of a neutral gas. The absolute thermal emf, the electrical conductivity, and the thermal conductivity of copper selenide (Cu2Se) were measured over a wide temperature range including the transition to the liquid state. The results are interpreted on the basis of an effect of charged copper vacancies and a broadening of the allowed energy bands during melting. |
