| Abstrakt: | It was shown that Friedel-Crafls acylation of 5-methyl-2-(ethoxycarbonyl)indole by p-nitrobenzoyl chloride occurs predominantly in the 4 and 7 positions, and that of the 5-methoxy derivative occurs in the 4 position. |
