The reaction of propargyl alcohol and butynediol with organic mono- and diazides gave N-alkyl-C-hydroxymethyl-1,2,3-triazoles, the hydroxy group of which was transformed successively to a halo group and an azide fragment. Two- and three-ring triazole structures that are crosslinked at the C and N atoms by methylene bridges were synthesized by the subsequent addition of a second molecule of the acetylenic alcohol. |
