A number of previously undescribed bisbenzimidazoloquinazolines were obtained by reaction of 2-(2-aminophenyl)benzimidazole with dicarboxylic acids or their derivatives and also by reaction of bis[2-(2-aminophenyl)-6-benzimidazolyls] with benzoic acid or its derivatives. It is shown that benzimidazoloquinazolones fall into the category of the highest-melting and most heat-resistant heterocyclic systems. |
