| Abstrakt: | 3-Methylquinazolinium iodide adds alkyl- and arylamines, pyrroles, and indoles to give the corresponding 4-substituted 3,4-dihydroquinazolines. A hydroxyl group in the 3-methylquinazolinium pseudobase is replaced by residues of these nucleophiles. |
