Abstrakt: 1.Higher temperature and longer impregnation time of fibers lead to an increased amount of carbide phase and nonmonotonic change of strength of a composite, with the maximum at a concentration of 13.8 mg Al4C3 per 1 g carbon.2.When the width of the zone taken up in the fracture by the weft increases, the strength of the composite decreases. Those specimens of composite have maximum strength which have no weft in the working part.
