1.Copper films are inadequately resistant to atmospheric corrosion, which is due to the low protective properties of corrosion products on the surface of condensates. For this reason, copper condensates are unsatisfactory under conditions of thermal cycling.2.Additions of nickel and tin to copper improve the corrosion resistance of copper films both under atmospheric conditions at room temperature and under thermal cycling conditions. The high corrosion resistance of condensates from Cu-Ni alloys is due to the presence of a passive film of NiO on the surface. |
