Sensitivity of alloy 0KhN40MDTYu to stress concentrations

Abstrakt: 1.In the presence of stress concentrations (up to KT=3) the mechanical properties of alloy 0Kh40MDTYu are fairly high at 20 and 80°C: $$\frac{{\sigma _{\text{b}}^{\text{h}} }}{{\sigma _{\text{b}} }} = 1.4 - 1.5;\frac{{\psi ^\Pi }}{\psi } = 0.3 - 0.5.$$ 2.The strength is highest for smooth samples and samples with a ring notch manufactured from pieces subjected to deformation + aging.3.Under these conditions the ductility and toughness of the alloy are good with considerable changes in stress concentrations in uniaxial tension and in impact bending tests.4.The results of determining the structural strength confirm the operational reliability of alloy 0KhN40MDTYu, which is recommended for commercial use.
