Diffusion coefficient of hydrogen in in low-alloyα-titanium

Abstrakt: We determined the hydrogen diffusion coefficient in a-titanium alloyed with 2.5% Al or with 2% Al +2.5% Zr at temperatures of 340–850o. Within the limits given, alloying reduces the hydrogen diffusion coefficient by a factor of only 2–4 as compared with the diffusion coefficient in iodide titanium. In low-alloy titanium hydrogen has a very high diffusion mobility.
