Tyron maze bright and maze dull rats were injected with physostigmine salycilate, an anti-cholinesterase drug, after daily trials in a Lashley III maze. The lowest dosage of the drug had no significant effect on learning but as the amount of the injection increased, learning improved and was significantly better than that of control animals. The optimal dosage for maze dulls was higher than for maze brights. The highest dosages used resulted in a disruption of performance. |
