Deformation and stability of technologically imperfect cylindrical shells in a nonuniform stress state

Abstrakt: The authors examined the problem of deformation and stability of thin-walled shells on the basis of technological mechanics and the multifactorial theoretical-experimental approach. The combined effect of the nonplanar form of the end of a smooth cylindrical shell on its subcritical behavior and the process of stability loss is examined. The investigations are carried out by the method of holographic interferometry and multifactorial experiment; the experimental results are used to construct the numerical solution.
