Conclusions 1.A recrystallized layer of varying depth is formed in the surface work-hardened layer of parts of ZhS6U alloy after heat treatment of it at 1210°C for 4 h.2.The depth of the recrystallized layer does not depend upon the length of sand blasting with electrocorundum, but the size of the sand fraction does influence it; the finer the fraction, the shallower the depth of the recrystallized layer.3.The mechanical properties of samples with and without the recrystallized layer in short-term tension at 20°C are practically the same.4.The time until failure of the alloy with the recrystallized layer in stress-rupture strength testing may drop by 25–45% (on 2.5-mm-diam. samples).5.The presence of the fine-grained recrystallized layer on the surface of the alloy causes an increase in its tensile strength at room and probably at medium (700–800°C) temperatures. |
