Effect of internal stresses on the plasticity criterion of porous metals

Abstrakt: The plasticity condition of porous sintered metals is satisfactorily described in J21 vs J1 coordinates, by the equation of a ellipse displaced along the hydrostatic axis toward compressive stresses. The displacement of the center of the ellipse relative to the origin of coordinates is due to the action of internal normal stresses set up during the deformation of powder materials in the course of processing operations.
