Abstrakt: |
1.A method has been developed for the comminution and classification of crystalline boron powders.2.Examination of x-ray diffraction photographs of boron powders established that, with decrease in particle size, the intensity of interference lines diminishes and lines representing the long-range order of arrangement of atoms gradually disappear.3.On the basis of results of x-ray diffraction investigations, it is concluded that severe comminution induces amorphization in crystalline boron. |
