Abstrakt:	A description is given of a new apparatus, intended for the study of the antifriction properties of solid lubricants at elevated temperatures, in a vacuum or in different gaseous media. The machine may be used for testing three cylindrical specimens against the face of a disk, two annular specimens, a ring against a plane surface, a four-ball modification and a ball against a spherical surface.
